The local government has announced the suspension of face-to-face classes on February 6 in several cities and municipalities in Cebu due to heavy rainfall brought by Tropical Storm Basyang (#BasyangPH).
Affected areas include:
• Cebu City
• Lapu-Lapu City
• Toledo City
• Medellin, Borbon, Pinamungajan, Balamban, Compostela, Talisay, Barili, Cordova, Carmen, Dalaguete, Samboan, Daanbantayan, Asturias, Liloan, Argao, Carcar, and Sogod
Public schools are suspended for the day, while private schools may follow based on their management’s discretion.
Authorities remind residents to stay prepared, pray for safety, and take necessary precautions as TS Basyang brings strong winds and heavy rain to Cebu.
