Coron, Boracay, El Nido rank among world’s top 15 beaches

Three Philippine destinations made it to the world’s 15 best beaches in the 2026 Condé Nast Traveller Readers’ Choice Awards, with Coron placing fourth, Boracay eighth and El Nido 10th.

The Philippines was the only country with three entries on the magazine’s global list, highlighting the international recognition of its beach destinations.

Coron in Palawan ranked fourth with a score of 93.32, followed by Boracay with 91.49 and El Nido, also in Palawan, with 91.27.

Veligandu Island Beach in the Maldives topped the rankings with 97.55, followed by Mounday’s Bay in Anguilla at 94.71 and Ao Nang Beach in Thailand at 94.

Other destinations in the top 15 were Grace Bay Beach in Turks and Caicos, Mambo Beach in Curaçao, Pink Sands Beach in the Bahamas, Holbox Beach in Mexico, Bora Bora in French Polynesia, Cas Abao Beach in Curaçao, Iztuzu Beach in Turkey, Manuel Antonio National Park in Costa Rica and Puerto Vallarta in Mexico.

The recognition comes alongside another showing for the Philippines in the magazine’s island rankings, where Palawan topped the Asia category and Boracay placed seventh.

Palawan outranked Phu Quoc and Con Dao in Vietnam, Koh Lanta and Phuket in Thailand, and Langkawi in Malaysia in its category.

Boracay also made the Asian island list, alongside destinations such as Koh Samui in Thailand and Bali and Lombok in Indonesia.

The beach rankings add to the international recognition of the Philippines’ coastal destinations, while the island results further highlight Palawan and Boracay among the region’s tourism draws.
