The University of the Philippines Visayas (UPV) emerged as one of the country’s top-performing schools in the May 2026 Chemical Engineer Licensure Examination after posting a perfect 100 percent passing rate.
According to the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC), all 10 examinees from UP Visayas–Iloilo City successfully passed the board exam, placing the university alongside other top-performing institutions nationwide.
UP Visayas shared the distinction with De La Salle University, University of the Philippines Los Baños, and Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila, which also recorded flawless passing rates in the highly competitive examination.
The achievement highlights UP Visayas’ continued excellence in science and engineering education, adding another milestone to the university’s academic performance in professional licensure examinations.
Meanwhile, Adamson University ranked second among the top-performing schools, followed by University of Negros Occidental-Recoletos, University of Mindanao, and Saint Louis University.
The Chemical Engineering board exams were conducted from May 20 to 22, 2026 in several testing centers across the country, including Iloilo and Cebu.
