The Cebu Port Authority (CPA) has announced the cancellation of selected sea trips starting February 5, 2026, due to Tropical Depression Basyang, prioritizing the safety of passengers and crew.
Affected vessels include Medallion, Starcraft 9, Seacat 1, Starlite Ferries, Gabisan, Cokaliong, Clemer Lines, Lapu-Lapu Shipping Lines, Fastcat M20, Litecat, Super Shuttle, Santa Clara Shipping, OceanJet, SuperCat, and Jomalia.
The suspension impacts trips from Cebu to Dipolog, Baybay, Tubigon, Surigao, Hilongos, Nasipit, Bohol, Camotes, Leyte, and other destinations served by these operators.
Passengers are strongly advised to coordinate directly with their respective shipping lines for rebooking, refunds, and further instructions. Additional advisories will be issued as the situation develops.
The Cebu City Government reminds the public to avoid unnecessary travel, stay alert, and monitor official advisories to ensure safety amid the adverse weather conditions.
